Chris is British and moved to San Francisco in 2003. After graduating from University in England, he spent several months in Africa, before returning to London and a succesful career in finance. Despite his successful business acumen, he always knew that he wanted more involvement with the Great Outdoors and he has made the Bay Area his home now for a few very simple reasons - everything that he could dare or dream to do outside is right on the doorstep. Always active, Chris' spirit of adventure reached new heights - literally - after moving to California. In 2005 he added successful winter summits of Mount Shasta, Mount Rainier and the highest point in the Contiguous US - Mount Whitney - to his mountaineering resume.

When not wearing his crampons Chris enjoys an active life at sea level and competes regularly in triathlons, and adventure races. His personal sports locker contains mountain and road bikes, skis, snowboards, climbing kit and harnesses, a kayak and a multitude of gear for getting him outside.

Chris brings an 'international' edge to Absolute Adventures, and you'll usually find his trusty beagle 'Jude' right by his side.
