A native of Sacramento, Nikolai came to the bay area to get a degree in Graphic Design, discovered the amazing variety of trails, wildlife, back roads and beaches here, and never looked back. He found success both working as a creative, and as an actor on many a bay area stage, but still felt that there was a better way to bring his love of the outdoors together with his primary strengths; creativity and working with people.

He began working as a corporate teambuilding facilitator in the 90's, and eventually crossed paths with Absolute Adventures. It seemed like a perfect fit. Although you will most often meet him at one of Absolute Adventures' corporate events (like GeoTeaming, or Treasure Hunting), Nikolai is always up for a new challenge, and you'll find him leading a hike or other activity from time to time as well, doing his best to identify local birds and wildlife. In addition to his thorough exploration of bay area trails, he's hiked or biked in the Sierras, Utah, and Oregon. Nikolai is especially excited about his newest venture, as the developer of Absolute Adventures' first treasure hunt, The Enigmakoff Codes.
